Chal
Chal (Spanish translation for a shawl) is a chair design that investigates the role of comfort and security between the user and the chair. The design intent of Chal is to create an embracing and supportive form for the human body with a shape that resonates a similar psychological comfort and support.
Chal
It is the development of the idea that a chair is a "safe place" for the needs of both the passive and prescribed users. Like a comfort blanket to a distressed child, or the comforting embrace of a loved one, Chal is intended as a wrapping of comfort for the use.
Chal
Chal exists in two versions Chal-I (chal-in) characterised by the inward flowing curves of the chair and Chal-O (Chal-out) the outward flowing curves of the chair that surrounds the user.
